It is my pleasure to welcome you to Kindergarten! As you know, it can be one of the most exciting and life-changing years in your child’s educational career. My goal is for each child to LOVE learning! This passion for learning stems from exposure to new experiences, developmentally appropriate activities, group and peer interaction and a spiritually warm environment. A crucial part of developing children’s intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual well-being is connecting school activities with the child’s life at home. Please know that we are partners in education and I value your input and constant support. It is with great pleasure that I wish to introduce myself to you and your child. As a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, I am currently a certified teacher for the state of Connecticut and a masters degree recipient for elementary school teachers. I have worked as a substitute teacher for over four years and successfully completed my student teaching in both the Easton and Bridgeport school districts. This is my fifth year at Our Lady of Fatima, and I am thrilled to be here. Prior to OLF, I taught kindergarten at Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton, CT. I am looking forward to meeting you and your child. A weekly newsletter will go home every Friday to help keep you informed of what is happening in the classroom. Children will take home their work daily, so please take the time to look over your child’s accomplishments. If your child is experiencing any kind of difficulty with any concept, you will be informed immediately and will be given advice and activities you can do at home to help him/her. I also have a full time assistant who can help him/her in the classroom. Teaching is who I am and I am committed to ensuring your child’s educational success. The adventure is about to begin and endless possibilities await us.
